Mission
Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School in partnership with students, parents and the community, will attain educational excellence by providing a rigorous and quality education for middle and high school students with a special focus on science, math and technology. This mission will be accomplished by incorporating technology into the curriculum, and promoting opportunities for students, teachers, administrators and parents to participate in an information society. CSP will convey the understanding that technology is a viable and increasingly essential educational tool. CSP graduates will have the training to successfully compete and advance to higher education. Vision The vision of CSP is to form a pact among students, parents, educators, and the community to provide an educational environment sustained by a nurturing, disciplined and dynamic learning culture. CSP will enhance the instruction of all students, enabling them to achieve their maximum potential, and preparing them to excel in an increasingly technological and global society. Goals The innovative educational approach of CSP will allow pursuing its vision of exceeding the district’s SAT averages, achieving high college acceptance rates and greatly surpassing Maryland School Assessment (MSA) and High School Assessment (HSA) proficiency scores. A committee consisting of board members, teachers, and parents shall guide and review the achievements of all goals listed in this proposal. CSP will:
