As we all know charter school movement is still new for Maryland. It is an important mission for all charter school stakeholders to introduce this critical movement to as many people as possible. Especially the critical decision making individuals... In addition to the main mission of offering quality education to our students, we need to make sure that other important supportive actions take place as well. Due to the limited resources it is an inevitable fact to wear many hats for the growth of our school. One of those hats was PR hat last night.
In an attempt to introduce our CSP to Governor O'Malley, CSP Governing Board Member Mr. On and Mr. Kandil were fortunate enough to attend a reception where there were only 25-30 individuals at most. There were many critical decision makers invited as well. However, CSP's goal was to meet with Governor O'Malley and introduce CSP and its accomplishments.
During the two and a half hour reception Mr. Kandil and Mr. On had a great opportunity to present CSP, a detailed folder including our last three year accomplishments including most recent CSP news letter to the Governor Martin O'Malley. Governor O'Malley was truly pleased to hear most recent National Science Fair award that Luke won. He was pleased more when he learned that CSP was the only Maryland Public School for the top five awards.
Governor asked Mr. Kandil some critical questions, and Mr. Kandil gave him the best answers possible about CSP. At the end Governor kindly allowed Mr. Kandil and Mr. On to have a souvenir photo taken for that very informative and productive event.
WAY TO GO CSP COMMUNITY! WAY TO GO...
