World Cultures Night

 World Cultures Night

We had an exceptional event on January 26, 09.  The World Cultures Night... Presented by Ms. Schuler, Mrs. Gist, CSP staff, students and parents.

CSP Parents never had to walk from such a long distance after parking their vehicles in order to come to the main entrance. Some were about to get a taxi to come to school after parking their car.The CSP parking lot, Mercedes drive, the neighbors' parking areas were all occupied for this event.

92 students, couple hundreds of guests, in total somewhere around 300-350 CSP family members enjoyed the  entire show.  CSP students, parents and staff prepared more than 50 different kinds of food from various cultures.  Almost 40-45 students exhibited culture specific costumes from all over the World. Ms. Schuler who is known to be a very culturally proficient staff member also had a costume from India. Mrs. Gist were on top of those poems and stories everyday with her students. The rest of the CSP staff were also assisting to Ms. Schuler and Mrs. Gist for this wonderful, educational, fun event.

Early birds were able secure a parking spot.  Late birds had to fly a little further.  In the meantime, the birds at the nest were extremely excited about the entire project. Decoration, organization, presentation, the fashion show, the concert, and the dances...
While some were still stretching their wings, shy and not sure whether they could take off or not, their instructors were encouraging them for a fun life time experience, and all those  young birds flew successfully, and the rest of us watched them with proud and honor.

The atmosphere was so nice and warm that it almost seemed like a huge family union.  Many parents, from various cultural backgrounds were able to socialize as if they were the brothers and sisters, uncles and aunties, grandmothers and grandfathers who have not seen each other for a long time. What a remarkable night it was!

We would like to thank Ms. Schuler and Mrs. Gist for this marvellous event they organized for the CSP Family.

We also would like to thank to every member of CSP Community who helped us to put together this cozy, warm nest for our children, since the very beginning.
