Tristan
Carmean, a Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School seventh
grader was
honored to represent the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in a GLOBAL mathematics
competition named the World Math Day. The World Math Day competition is the
world’s largest educational event which involves more than 2,5 Million
students, and 200 countries across the world.
A total of
6 students were selected to be the ambassadors for the United States and
Tristan Carmean, a 7th grader at CSP, who got the 3rd place in
the National Mathletics competition is announced to be one of them. Tristan is the
only representative from the State of Maryland.

members of the U.S. Ambassador team along with the Guinness World Record holder

The Human Calculator,” Scott Flansburg were invited to NBC Today Show for a national
coverage introducing the largest educational event of the world. Yesterday
during the show, Tristan Carmean of Chesapeake Science Point stated that Mr.
Avsar, his coach at CSP has played an important role in his accomplishments.
