Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School (CSP) is approved for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) grant, dedicated for a national robotics competition Botball.
 
The NAVSEA Grant was made available for five (5) schools in the greater DC Area and CSP, among all the public middle and high schools, was selected to receive the grant in the amount of $2,300.00. NAVSEA also announced interest in recruiting participating students as interns. 
 
The Botball Educational Robotics Program engages middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition based on national science education standards.
