We are excited to inform you that after-school clubs at CSP for this year have been finalized. Students are allowed to participate in more than one club, but we may not be able to place your student in the club he/she chose due to available seats. Please rank your choices by putting a P (primary) or an S (secondary) in the parentheses next to each club. A student can have up to 4 primary and 4 secondary choices.

Professional Development at CSP

Teachers of Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter School had a great professional development week right before the school started. The professional development sessions were designed to increase the effectiveness of teachers. In some of the sessions, teachers discussed several ideas presented by Harry Wong, a globally known educator, and a master in effective teaching. Even though Mr. Wong was not able to attend CSP's professional development program, he sent the following message to the CSP staff to appreciate their hard work. Please click here to see the message.

CSP at the BMI (January 9, 2006)

On January 9, 2006 , CSP was at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. At the BMI, students got to participate in various educational activities, such as History Alive, Design-It, and Garment Loft. In Design-It, participants had the opportunity to make a roller-coaster that was supposed to meet the criteria given to them by using a limited source of supplies and household materials. In Garment Loft, students were divided into two groups, Workers and Management, and they had to deal with the problems that emerged with the introduction of machines into the workplace. In History Alive, CSP was given a historic tour of the Baltimore factories in 1920's. The field trip was concluded with the informative Scavenger Hunt and Answers session.
